Everybody wants to be part of the OUTCOME.

Today is Thursday the 4 June 2020, so I am writing this BLOG as a part of my journal/reflection from the day. Every morning I commit to a Journal/Reflection page to keep the what I am thinking, saying and doing in synchronicity. Cleaning my room, so to speak!

There is a great quote from an unknown source that says;

"Everybody wants to be part of the outcome, but no one wants to be part of the process. You work out who you take to the outcome with those who want to be a part of the process."

More than ever, this is making more and more sense to me on so many levels. Generally speaking 'giving up on yourself' seems to part of the individual landscape. Something I see a lot of today are individuals who spend more time trying to justify or get out of something, rather than just doing what is required. This lack of confidence I believe relates directly to how they feel about themselves or how clean their room is. If we were to examine this further it would become rather clear that most people are acutely aware when they are NOT doing the personal work. We see this in distraction activities and insecurity outbursts where people need to be heard or seen doing what's 'popular' rather than what is necessary to effect change.

Jordan Peterson highlights this point when he said "my sense is that if you want to change the world, you start with yourself and work outward because you build your competence that way' He continues by saying that if you cant even clean up your own room, who the hell are you to give advice to the world?

In my opinion, there is no way around this, you simply have to clean your own room, before you can add value to the bigger picture, the problem is most people find this too confronting and therefore their value proposition and what they can contribute to the world drastically diminishes.
